Milk & Pepper 2026: clothes and accessories for dogs with personality

Posted on2023-11-03 by Mar

There are brands that pass through the shop, and brands that stay. Milk & Pepper is one of the latter. We’ve been stocking it at Mascoboutique for years and every new collection confirms why we chose it: Parisian design, serious fabric quality, a relaxed touch that matches dogs living everyday life, and above all, an aesthetic coherence you really notice when a dog wears the brand’s harness, t-shirt and bag all together and the look hangs together without feeling like a costume. I’ll tell you what makes it different and our favourite pieces of the 2026 season.

What makes Milk & Pepper special

Milk and Pepper is a French brand, founded in Paris by people who know the world of the small urban dog well. And it shows in everything: in the patterns (they fit yorkies, bichons, toy poodles and dachshunds perfectly), in the materials (pleasant cottons, well-engineered raincoats, hardware that doesn’t rust), and in a recognisable aesthetic —sailor stripes, discreet prints, neutral palettes with the odd pop of colour— that has managed the hardest thing in dog fashion: not ageing badly.

In the shop what I hear most is: «you can tell this one’s well made». And that’s exactly it. A Milk & Pepper t-shirt, after a whole summer of washes, still looks new. A raincoat actually repels water, not one of those that soaks through in ten minutes. And a harness adjusts where it should adjust, without rubbing or going slack with the first tug.

The 2026 collection: seasonal highlights

The new collection follows the brand’s line but refreshes the staples. The big focus this year is white, navy, sailor stripes and light prints designed to dress the dog well whether for a downtown café terrace or for the beach or countryside. There’s also a return of the front-carry sling —that format many of us saw years ago and that with Milk & Pepper makes sense again— and the raincoat consolidating as the star product after several seasons being the best seller at the shop.

If I had to sum it up in one line: less drama and more pieces you’ll actually wear all year round. The direction is clear, and we like it.

The models we recommend most at Mascoboutique

From the 2026 collection, these are the models that move the most at the shop and the ones I always keep on the counter to show.

Milk & Pepper harnesses

The Kaya Cream Harness (€44.90) is our main pick in the Milk and Pepper harness line this season. Finished in a neutral cream tone that goes with any coat, in a classic H format, adjustable at neck and chest and with a soft inner padding that you really feel on small and medium dogs. It’s one of those harnesses that slip onto yorkies, bichons and toy poodles without a fight, and that hold their shape with daily use. If your dog walks well on a loose lead and you want a pretty, comfortable premium harness, this is the model to look at.

Seasonal clothing

Two clear stars here this year.

The Babord Stripes Raincoat (€54.90) has been Mascoboutique’s best-selling raincoat for three seasons, and for good reason. Belly closure with press studs, removable hood with zip, comfortable inner lining and a sailor-stripe print that looks especially well on small dogs. It’s the piece I recommend to clients living in Madrid or any city: if your dog has to walk in the rain several times a day, this raincoat changes autumn and spring.

For summer, the Solena T-shirt (€26.90) closes the line perfectly: white with navy stripes, sleeveless, lightly stretchy cotton. A proper sailor t-shirt, not a costume. It’s the Milk & Pepper piece that turns over most in July and August, and the one that pairs best with the Babord raincoat when the cold arrives.

Accessories and extras

This is where Milk and Pepper sets itself apart from the rest: no one else has its accessories catalogue.

The Armel Front Carrier (€94.90) is the accessory that surprises clients the most. Made 100% in cotton, with a front opening and an inner clip to attach to the harness. I use it especially for small dogs that need to rest mid-walk, or to take the dog with you on transport where they can’t be loose. The design has that «little Parisian child» touch only Milk & Pepper achieves.

And the Komodo Sling Bag (€64.90) is the other transport option, in cross-body sling format. Perfect for toy dogs and for short city trips. More discreet than the front carrier, equally well finished.

Why Mascoboutique works with Milk & Pepper

In the shop we don’t work with every premium dog brand, we work with the ones that pass our filter. And the Mascoboutique filter is the old-school shopkeeper one: I pick up each garment, fold it, look at the stitching, give a tug to the zips, read the composition on the label and, if it all convinces me, it goes into the shop. If not, it doesn’t.

Milk & Pepper passed that filter years ago and, since then, every new collection passes it without question. Their garments last what they should last. Their hardware doesn’t rust. Their raincoats are actually waterproof. And, the hardest thing: the brand evolves without losing its identity. When a client comes in and asks me «why do I want a premium brand if the one from the supermarket works?», I usually give them a Milk and Pepper t-shirt to touch. Five seconds later they usually understand on their own. That’s the difference.

This is just a selection, what moves most in the shop. But there’s more in every category: Milk & Pepper plush toys (the warthogs and the Marceau pain au chocolat are our favourites), leads matched to the harnesses, toys designed with the same care as the clothing…

You can see the full Milk & Pepper collection on its brand page at Mascoboutique. If you’re after clothing, swing by our general dog clothing category; if you want something specific in harnesses, take a look at the harness section.

And if you have doubts about sizes, which model suits your dog best, or how to combine it with what you already have at home, message us on WhatsApp or come into the shop. That’s what we’re here for. As we always say: here we don’t recommend what we sell most, we recommend what she would put on her own dog.

About the author

Mar is the founder of Mascoboutique. What began as an idea to dress and equip her own dog grew, over the years, into a reference boutique in Madrid for families with dogs. Every harness, t-shirt or accessory that comes into the shop passes through her hands first: she tests the materials, looks at the stitching and pictures the dog that will wear it. That old-school shopkeeper’s eye is what she also applies to the blog: here we don’t recommend what sells best, we recommend what she would put on her own dog.
