This mat gradually cools your dog down, lowering its body temperature. No water or prior freezing is needed, as it works with pressure: your dog's pressure when laying on the mat activates the cooling gel inside. It is a non-toxic gel, so it won't pose a safety risk.

When it stops cooling, simply shake the mat to reactivate the gel. Within minutes, it will be ready for use again.
